Mr Raphael Alorwu, Brong Ahafo Regional Co-ordinator of the National Service Scheme (NSS), has called on politicians to step aside whenever it became clear that they have lost the support of the people.
Mr Alorwu, who was interacting with the media at Denu in the Volta Region also appealed to the government to dialogue with people in the area regarding their development concerns in order to reduce tension.
The Regional NSS Co-ordinator is among the eight candidates seeking to be the National Democratic Congress’s Parliamentary candidate for Ketu-South.
The others are the incumbent Member of Parliament, Mr Albert Zigah who is seeking third term, Mr Fifi Kwetey, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Planning and Mr Nelson Agbagedi, a Tutor.
The rest are Mr Frederick Alipui, Economist, Elizabeth Kuenyefu, Teacher, Nicholas Waklatsi Teacher, and Kafui Nyasogbor also a Teacher.
Mr Alorwu alleged that Mr Zigah has lost the support of the people given the number of candidates seeking to wrest the party’s parliamentary ticket from him.
He expressed optimism of winning the ticket because he has the experience and the resourcefulness to be a good representative of the people in parliament.**
