Nii Ayikoi Otoo, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Krowor constituency in the Greater Accra Region, at the weekend observed that Nana Akufo-Addo, the NPP flagbearer for the 2012 polls, is the only hope for the Ghanaian youth in their pursuit of future happiness.

He made the observation while addressing the youth in his constituency at a youth jam at Nungua.

The former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice accused the incumbent NDC government of deceiving the youth and plunging them into a state of despondency.

He said that under the NDC government the future of the youth looks very bleak, adding that the hopelessness of the situation had led to the formation of Unemployed Graduates Association.

He urged them to support Nana Addo and the NPP to come to power and change their fortunes with comprehensive youth-centered programmes.

He accused the incumbent MP for Krowor constituency, Nii Oakley Quaye-Kumah, of not adequately articulating the concerns of the people for redress.

Nii Ayikoi Otoo urged the youth to take part in the biometric registration when the Electoral Commission opens the voters register so that they could be registered to pave the way for them to vote in the 2012 elections.

In a related development, Nii Ayikoi Otoo, has called on all NPP members in the constituency to bury their differences and unite to prosecute effective campaign to recapture power in 2012.

According to him, some party members voted “skirt and blouse” in the 2008 elections and that was one of the main reasons why the NPP lost the run off election because the NDC had secured more parliamentary seats which they used as a bargaining chip in the run off.

He made the call while addressing a general meeting attended by each of the 20-member polling station campaign teams from all the polling stations in the constituency at the weekend.

The parliamentary candidate urged the party activists to relegate their individual and sectional interest to the background and think of how the could contribute to the party’s broad agenda to win the 2012 elections. Nii Ayikoi Otoo(0276485986)
