Naomi targets coastal votes

Naomi Allotey-Quarshie thinks that having done extremely well for the country, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) should not have lost power at the time it did.

She told DAILY GUIDE that winning many seats should be the objective of the party in 2016, which requires a certain skill which she has.

Zooming on the residents of the coastal parts of the Greater Accra Region is the principal task that can turn the tables in favour of the NPP, she said.

“I have the wand to do this when I am voted in as the party’s regional women’s organizer. I am seeking that office so that I can put my strategy in place to win the votes along the coast,” she said.

Having held various positions in the party from the grassroots level to national, she pointed out that she had garnered enough experience to steer the affairs of the party at the regional level for positive results.

Ghanaians are suffering the effects of the NDC’s bad governance and long for change when the next elections are due, but this calls for effective strategies such as putting the right persons in the various positions, as well as managing the affairs of women in the regions.

She pointed out that working with first-time ladies voters is one of the strategies that can work wonders, adding, “I have a plan up my sleeves towards achieving this. When I am voted into power, the fortunes of the NPP would change positively in the next elections, I can assure you,” she said.

There is something which the party did not right along the coastal stretch of Accra, she noted.

“That is why I am coming in to put things right to win more votes, including the strengthening of the women’s wings.”
