Nduom volunteers embark on membership drive campaign

Cape Coast, Dec.17, GNA – Members of the “Vote for Dr Nduom Volunteers” in the Cape Coast Metropolis on Friday began a campaign dubbed ‘Christmas Driver time campaign’ to educate people on the need to vote for Dr Nduom in the coming elections.

The campaign which would be on during and after the festive occasion would include an interaction with people on the streets and the distribution of souvenirs such as 2012 calendars.

Mr Richard Nii Amarh, the coordinator of the ‘Dr Nduom2012 Team’, who made this known to the GNA in Cape Coast, said the volunteers would target traffic prone areas where people waiting in traffic would be educated and presented with the souvenirs.

He said the campaign apart from serving as a membership drive would also be an avenue for the registration of supporters and functionaries of Dr Nduom in the Cape Coast Metropolis and that similar campaigns would be held across the 10 regions in the country.

He said the campaign was scheduled at this time of the year because the members want people to have Dr Nduom who is aspiring to be the president of Ghana on the ticket of the Convention People’s party (CPP) on their minds whiles celebrating the yuletide.

Mr Amarh described Dr Nduom as a practical man and an entrepreneur who puts into practice what he preaches, adding that Dr Nduom has single handedly created more than 2,000 jobs in the construction, media and financial sectors.

He said Dr Nduom does not make empty promises and that although he was not a President of Ghana he has been able to contribute in diverse ways to improve upon the socio-economic development of the country and that it was imperative for all to vote for him in the 2012 elections to enable him bring to bear his expertise.

Mr Amarh said although Dr Nduom has decided to take a back seat in the affairs of the CPP it did not mean that he would not make any effort to achieve his dreams of becoming a President of Ghana and called on all to rally their support for the CPP as the alternative Party to manage the affairs of the country.

He called on Ghanaians particularly the youth who believe in the ideologies, aspirations and principles of Dr Nduom to rally their support to the ‘practical and shiny leader’ of the CPP to move the party to a greater pedestal in the 2012 election.
