Koforidua, Feb. 6, GNA - Members of the New Juaben South Constituency branch of the National Democratic Conference (NDC), on Thursday organised a float through the principal streets of Koforidua to celebrate the December 2008 election victory. Party supporters were seen at in slow moving buses, others dancing on the street and on long truck vehicle to brass band music. The procession finally converged at the Regional Office of the party where the supporters were addressed by some leading members of the party in the constituency. Mr Andrew Awuku, the Constituency Chairman of the party called on Ghanaians to unite since the elections were over and worked towards building a prosperous nation. He urged Ghanaians to forgive one another about whatever might had happened during the elections and live as citizens with a common destiny.

Mr Awuku thanked Ghanaians for the trust they had reposed in the party and urged those that would be placed in leadership positions in government to work hard to fulfil the promises made by the party. The New Juaben South Constituency Secretary of the party, Mr Foster Tetteh urged party faithful to support the Municipal Assembly to keep the municipality clean by engaging in all clean-up exercises.
