North-Dayi NPP Executives elected after long dispute

Kpando, Feb 28, GNA- The North-Dayi constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Volta Region has finally elected a new executive after a protracted conflict among members. The disagreements, which stalled the holding of any delegate's conference also resulted in a lawsuit.

Mr Andy Lartey, 44, a Kpando Businessman was elected Chairman, Edward Seshie, First-Vice Chairman, Daniel Bodza Second Vice-Chairman, Vincent Kudzo, Secretary and Gabriel Dumorgah, Assistant Secretary. Other officer holders are Ben Owusu, Organiser, Grace Paemka, Women's Organiser and Christine Adzovie, Treasurer. Mr Laud Commey, NPP National Organiser, implored members to respect the choices of the delegates to enable the constituency now take part in activities of the party at all levels.

Mr Pious Adanuti, Kpando District Chief Executive (DCE) commended the national headquarters of the Party for talking the two sides in the dispute into a truce and settlement of their differences. He said the party members should now act as one body and not allow petty differences to divide them.

Mr Lartey said the task for the party in the constituency now was to win more people to the party for victory at the 2008 polls.
