Whether rain or shine, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Parliamentary Candidate for Tema East constituency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Titus Glover, respectively, will win their contests in the November 7 polls, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has said.

The running mate to Mr Akufo-Addo made the comment when scores of people including market women in the Tema East constituency defied the rains to attend a mini rally at Kpleto Shishi organised by the NPP in the constituency.

“What I have seen here and what you have done means that whether rain or shine, Nana Akufo-Addo will be elected as President come November or December 7. It also tells me that Titus Glover will be re-elected as Member of Parliament for Tema East.”

He told the gathering President John Dramamai Mahama has been directing the country into a wrong direction, a trend which must be changed through the ballots in the November elections.

“John Mahama is driving this country in the wrong direction and that is why on November or December 7, we have to bring him down and put Nana Akufo-Addo behind the steering wheel to steer us in the right direction.

“We will not build a ‘kaakaamotobi’ economy. We will build an economy of jobs so that people can take care of themselves. Taxes will be brought down to allow production to go up and that will in turn bring more revenue and create the needed jobs.”

He added: “We are a party of business and a party for the people and it is the goal of Nana Akufo-Addo to build the most people friendly economy in Africa.

“The ports are a major part of the economy and we have for example pledged that we will reduce import duties, especially on raw materials and manufacturing equipment so businesses can expand and create jobs. We will build an economy of jobs, so our youth can find jobs and this is why we must all go to and vote on November or December 7 for Nana Akufo-Addo,” Dr Bawumia stated.
