Kwesi Nyantakyi said he would address the media on his decision to sue Anas soon Kwesi Nyantakyi, the embattled former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, has vowed to sue Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
In a report by Myjoyonline sighted by YEN.com.gh, Nyantakyi is said to have met with his close allies at a secret location to take a decision on the issue.
He is said to have threatened to sue Anas for damages because his latest exposé has defamed him and his family.
Nyantakyi believes that Anas’ exposé was cooked to defame his hard-earned reputation, and therefore, he would not sit idly and watch that happen to him.
He was caught in the secret video striking “corrupt” deals with some supposed investors who had expressed interest in investing in Ghana football.
Kwesi Nyantakyi was also caught collecting an alleged amount of $65,000 as “gift” for shopping; an act that is against the code of ethics of FIFA.
He has thus resigned from his position as President of the GFA, while FIFA has handed him a ninety-day ban.
Nyantakyi has also apologized unreservedly to President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Bawumia, and other government officials, whose names he associated with “fraud” in the video; indicating that he lied about them.
Kwesi Nyantakyi has said he would address the media soon on his decision to sue Anas for damages for defaming him.
