Oda NPP MP elected to contest parliamentary elections

Akim Oda (E/R), May 2, GNA - Incumbent New Patriotic Party Member (NPP) of Parliament (MP) for the Akim Oda Constituency, Mr Robert Yaw Owusu Boateng, won the NPP parliamentary primaries for the area, last Saturday. He polled 249 votes against Mr William Agyapong Adjabeng Quaittoo, who had 194 votes, and Augustine Ennin Attafuah, a lawyer, who had 145 votes.

Akim Oda (E/R), May 2, GNA - Incumbent New Patriotic Party Member (NPP) of Parliament (MP) for the Akim Oda Constituency, Mr Robert Yaw Owusu Boateng, won the NPP parliamentary primaries for the area, last Saturday. He polled 249 votes against Mr William Agyapong Adjabeng Quaittoo, who had 194 votes, and Augustine Ennin Attafuah, a lawyer, who had 145 votes. Five hundred and ninety-three out of the 605 delegates cast their vote= s. Mr Boateng thanked the delegates for giving him the mandate to contest for the Oda seat in Election 2012. In a related development, a former presiding member of the Birim South District Assembly, Mr Robert K. Amoah, obtained 256 votes to beat the incumbent MP for Akim Swedru constituency, Mr Joseph Amponsah Bosumtwi, who polled 154 votes, to win the primaries. 2 May 11
