The MP said fair wages to all categories of workers were in the offing where teachers in particular would receive a minimum of 35 percent increase in their wages. He appealed to workers to reciprocate the gesture by maximising productivity to ensure that the increase in salaries was equally matched by higher productivity to avoid inflation. Mr Oppon-Kusi urged the people to support the Youth Employment Programme especially the youth in agriculture module to ensure food sufficiency. Mr Oppon-Kusi appealed to chiefs to willingly release lands for the youth in agriculture programme to help make it a success. He later donated a wheelchair to Mr Kofi Nimo, a 72-year-old man, who had been disabled since 1983. He also donated 60 streetlights to some of the communities.
