Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, Minister for Communications
Minister of Communications Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah has named one of the many policies President John Dramani Mahama seeks to implement if reelected.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has scheduled Saturday, September 17 as date to unveil its manifesto of policies for the next four years.
Currently, however, its leader is in the Central Region for a five-day campaign tour.
Rounding up Day 1 to journalist, Dr Omane Boamah observed that the excitement that greeted the president on Monday, September 5 is a sign of the good works of the NDC government.
He said President Mahama seeks to transform the country’s economy and this has been captured in the Economic Transformation and Livelihood Empowerment Programme (ETLEP).
ETLEP, the former student leader explained, seeks to empower more Ghanaians, more businesses and create more jobs.
He told journalists Monday evening that the creation of jobs in the second term of President Mahama will be hinged on diversification and value addition.
This, he believes, will enhance people’s income and, by so doing, increasing their purchasing power.
“This is what is in the mind of the president,” Dr Omane Boamah stressed.
