The National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare Addo, has led over a 3,000-strong team on a retail and community engagement campaign in the Central Region.

The mobilisation effort saw the team embark on a door-to-door canvassing exercise, urging citizens to vote for the NDC's presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, and its parliamentary candidates in the upcoming elections.

During the campaign on August 23, 2024, Opare Addo highlighted NDC's key policies, including the 24-hour economy policy, the No Fees Stress policy, which promises free tuition fees for all level 100 university entrants, and the apprenticeship program.

These initiatives resonated with the electorate, who expressed their support for the NDC's vision.

"The next John Mahama administration will introduce a 24-hour economy policy that will solve unemployment in the country. He will also make university tuition fees free for all level 100 entrants, and he will also introduce the apprenticeship program for those who prefer to learn skills," Opare Addo said.

The campaign, which took place in various constituencies, including Awutu Senya East and West, Effutu, and Palm Kennels Association, also drew support from the locals.

George Opare Addo was accompanied by personalities, including Chairman of the Youth Wing Working Committee, Okai Mintah; NDC parliamentary aspirant for Awutu Senya East, Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor; and MP for Awutu Senya West, Gizella Aku Shika Tetteh-Agbotui.

There was a massive turnout of supporters, who thronged the streets to catch a glimpse of the NDC team.

George Opare Addo engaged with the crowd, listening to their concerns and addressing their questions.
