Former Bayern Munich defender, Samuel Osei Kuffuor has been confirmed as the new member of the Ghana Football Association Normalisation Committee by FIFA.
The former Black Stars centre-back replaces former Asante Kotoko board member, Lawyer Dua Adonteng on the committee.
However, the Normalization Committee has been given an extension of six months with their mandate expected to end on September 30, 2019.
The Normalisation Committee was instituted in October last year to replace the Executive Committee of the GFA, following the premiering of a documentary by investigative journalist Anas Amereyaw Anas and Tigre Eye PI which exposed a lot of football officials taking gifts which is against the association’s code of conduct.
The committee has been charged to lead reforms in Ghana football as well as they manage the day to day administration of the association.
Kuffour joins Lucy Quist, Naa Odofoley, Dr Kofi Amoah as the member of the Normalization Committee.
