Accra, Jan 15, GNA - The Private Enterprise Foundation (PEF) on Thursday congratulated President John Evans Atta Mills and Vice-President John Dramani Mahama for their victory in the December general elections. A message in Accra signed by Dr Osei Boeh-Ocansey, Director General, PEF said it was satisfied that, the implementation of policies in the National Democratic's (NDC) manifesto would go a long way to strengthen the growth and development of the private sector in the country. It said the conviction followed a review of the NDC's manifesto, part of which read, "the NDC, leading an activist State, will among others things, support existing and emerging business associations and use these effective platforms for channelling support to the formal and informal private sectors' and 'establish constant dialogue and consultations with business associations on government policies and programmes which impact on businesses". The statement noted that PEF had the privilege of working with President Mills in the past and "it is our expectation that we would continue to work closely with his government to forge common policy initiatives for Ghana's development".
