A failed Parliamentary aspirant for the Tema West Constituency in the Greater Accra Region under the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Robert Suapim Jnr, has recommended the establishment of a Public Relations (PR) management team for the NPP's running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

Mr. Suapim emphasized the importance of PR managers in carefully managing Dr. Prempeh's public statements and image.

During an interview with Classfmonline.com, Mr. Suapim highlighted the necessity for Dr. Prempeh's PR team to monitor and control his utterances to ensure they are appropriate.

He compared this to the PR practices of leaders of powerful nations, which help ensure their statements are precise and well-received.

Mr. Suapim, who also serves as an external PR consultant to the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, praised Dr. Prempeh for his results-oriented approach and his significant achievements, including the implementation of the Free Senior High School policy.

He urged the NPP to focus on Dr. Prempeh's accomplishments both at the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Energy and his resolve in dealing with Dumsor.

He also addressed a recent controversial comment made by Dr. Prempeh about the achievements of Nana Akufo-Addo compared to those of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, attributing it to excitement and arguing that it was taken out of context.

Mr. Suapim called for forgiveness, acknowledging that mistakes are human and asking Ghanaians to continue trusting in the Akufo-Addo administration.

He urged the public to have faith in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Dr. Prempeh's ticket to bring about the desired change in Ghana.

Mr. Suapim dismissed the perception of Dr. Prempeh being arrogant, explaining that in Ghana, assertiveness is often misunderstood.

He concluded by stating that demonizing Dr. Prempeh for his comment was unfair and called for a more forgiving and understanding approach.
