Domeabra (B/A), Sept. 21, GNA - Mr Eric Amoateng, NPP parliamentary candidate for Nkoranza North Constituency has expressed gratitude to delegates for his election and promised to do his best to become an MP for the area to advance it's development.
He called on the electorate to rally behind him for a resounding victory for him and the NPP in December for an improvement in their socio-economic well-being.
The parliamentary candidate was speaking at separate meetings at Domeabra, Bodom and Akrudwa Number One, when Mr Abdulai Adu-Oppong, NPP Chairman in the Constituency officially introduced him to the people. Mr Amoateng, popularly known as Nana Amoateng, reiterated the appeal by the chiefs and people for the creation of a district for the constituency, which he said would help accelerate its development.
At Domeabra, he donated 10 million cedis in support of the Community's Electrification Project and gave five million cedis to the people at Bodom towards the purchase of low-tension poles for a similar project.
At Akrudwa Number One, Mr Amoateng donated two million cedis towards the construction of a borehole and presented five million cedis towards the construction of a palace at Baafi.
Mr Adu-Oppong appealed to the electorate to vote massively for the candidate to enable the party to snatch the constituency seat from the NDC.
He urged NPP supporters to visit the people in their homes to win more members and supporters for the party.
The NPP Chairman advised the party's youth to eschew acts that could lead to confusion and disturbances in the communities. Mr Adu-Oppong gave the assurance that the party would win the December general elections and urged the people to vote massively for it to advance the development of the area.
