Angela Mensah, an eight year old peace ambassador on Saturday called on Ghanaian politicians and stakeholders in Ghana’s election to cherish the peace the country is enjoying.
She therefore appealed to the Electoral Commission, which serves as referee for the elections to provide a level playing field to all political parties whilst the media and the security agencies should carry out their duties professionally.
Angela Mensah was speaking at the Prayer section organised for children in Accra, to call upon God for peaceful election.
She said Ghanaians want to live in a peaceful country to achieve all their big dreams and any politician who tries to foment violence in this year’s election should face the wrath of God.
“Let us all be responsible towards this years election and afterwards, let’s avoid insults and deep tribal politics that have crept into our body politics.
“I used this opportunity to express my condolence to all Ghanaians, especially to the family of the late former Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama. May his soul rest in peace.”
