Politicians asked to stop attacks and insults

Winneba (C/R), June 27, GNA - The head of the Jesus Evangelical Dreaming and Healing Temple in Winneba, Odifo Mercy Esuon, has appealed to politicians to stop attacking and insulting each other.

She said the utterances of some politicians on radio and in the news papers were not the best and did not augur well for Ghana's young democracy.

Prophetess Esuon made the appeal at a special thanksgiving and appeal for fund Service in aid of the church project at Winneba on Sunday.

She condemned what she referred to as 93unhealthy statements" politicians made and urged them to be mindful of what they said against their fellow politicians.

She also advised parents to take proper care of their children and to caution them against the tendency to become rich quick through Cyber fraud.

"The penchant for wealth by the youth through illegal means will destroy the moral fibre of the nation," she said, and stressed the need for stakeholders to educate the youth to desist from the act. Prophetess Esuon asked Christians to intensify their education on the bad effects of 93Sakawa" to the youth.

She urged parents to constantly monitor the activities of their children so that they could detect any bad habits in good time in order to effect the necessary correction.

In a sermon, Pastor Peter K. Dennison of the Church urged Christians to contribute their quota towards national development, along side their missionary activities.

He asked Ghanaians to let God Almighty be their leader in all that they do, 93for with him, all things are possible."
