Power will elude you – De Soso tells Akufo-Addo

National Vice Chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita De Soso has criticized the Flagbearer of the largest opposition New Patriotic Party(NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for not being assertive in dealing with the growing impunity in his party.

She accused Nana Addo of leadership failure in the Dankwa-Busia-Dombo tradition, insisting that the NPP cannot win power with a troubled front.

Interacting with sit-in-host Kweku Owusu Adjei on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM, De Soso said the NPP leader in many instances has failed to call his own party members to order in several worrying issues that have happened in the elephant family.

“This explains why he had to beg for former President Kufuor to follow him on his tour to Kumasi and beg Otumfuo, because he’s not been able to condemn his people in the Ashanti region towards the disrespect they have for Otumfuo, that is why he had to look for somebody to lead him to Otumfuo to repair the damages in their relationship,” she argued.

De Soso said it was even laughable to learn that Nana Addo had promised to facilitate plans towards the payment of monies to victims of DKM Microfinance bunco scheme, while his own party MP had likewise dupe customers in the Fanteakwa district in similar instance which the people have even threatened a demonstration against him.

“When Wontumi even slapped the MP for Manhyia North, was he able to condemn him for the assault case? Later he came out to say I love my party chairman the ruling NDC National Vice stated.
