President John Dramani Mahama will on Thursday begin the second leg of his working visit to the regions by touring the three northern regions of the country.
During his three-day visit to the Upper East, Upper West and the Northern regions, President Mahama would inspect ongoing projects, cut sods for the commencement of new ones and inaugurate completed projects.
He would also attend durbars of the chiefs and people in the aforementioned areas to interact with them and to know at first-hand their development challenges,
Mr Ibrahim Murtala-Mohammed, a Deputy Minister for Information and Media Relations has announced.
At a briefing with the Presidential Press Corps at the Flagstaff House, Kanda, Mr Mohammed indicated that despite the challenges, government was determined to fulfil most of its promises it made to the electorate.
This he said would enable the people to renew their confidence in the government come the next general election.
It is recalled that President Mahama began a working tour of the regions last Saturday, with the Volta Region being the first to visit.
