Prof. Mills Will Win Massively, Says Reg. Organiser

The Central Regional Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Patrick Aniagyei, has predicted a massive win for the Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, the party's presidential candidate for the December elections.

Prof. Mills, according to Aniagyei, has now marketed himself to the people that had enable them to know the kind of qualities he possesses.

In 2000 elections, the former vice president was largely occupied by load of work in the Castle that mitigated against his campaign, the regional organiser told the Chronicle in an interview last Sunday.

But this time round, he noted, the Law Professor has had enough time to interact with the people at the grassroots who have got to know him better.

Aniagyei, a former employee of National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), said most people of the region had decided to vote for Mills not because he hails from there but his ability to explain economic issues and the vision he has for the nation, coupled with his humility had won the hearts of many especially those in the rural areas.

He expressed confidence that the strategy being used to collate information indicates that most of the electorate in the region had regretted for voting against him in the previous elections.

"For Mills, no one can compete with him in this election, because in Cape-Coast University, as well as other tertiary institutions and secondary schools which were once no-go areas for the party they now receive us with open arms," the regional organiser asserted.

This, he said, was due to that fact that most of the students are desperately struggling to make ends meet because of hard economic hardships prevailing in the country.

He said the NPP government threw dust into the eyes of Ghanaians by deceiving them that they inherited a bad economy and soon after, it had engaged on corruption, blatant lies and thievery.

He further asserted that Ghanaians have realized the propaganda antics of the NPP in deceiving the people which had made campaign easier for the NDC and that they were going to provide a stiff opposition to that effect.

However, the regional organiser appreciated the fact that the NPP government had embarked on the construction of Cape-Coast-Accra Highway, after long neglect by the NDC regime.
