Remove acrimony from politics - Gidisu

Asukawkaw (V/R), Sept. 13, GNA - Mr Wisdom Gidisu, National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Krachi East said acrimony should be removed from Ghana's body politic to put her on the map of political maturity. He said the country's fledgling democracy needed the support of all to ensure that the truth should not be sacrificed for falsehood.

Mr Gidisu, a businessman who was being introduced as the NDC parliamentary candidate for the newly created constituency at a party meeting at Asukawkaw in the Volta Region at the weekend said if the truth was allowed to prevail debates and political rallies would become informative, educative and serve as mobilising ground for carrying the people along for development. He urged supporters and sympathisers of the NDC to be patient and to explain issues dispassionately to enable win the 2004 election.

Mr Gidisu appealed to the electorate to vote for him as their Member of Parliament during the December elections. He warned against politicians who would lure them with money to vote for them only to abandon them. Mr Gidisu was elected at the party's primaries held on July 10 at Dambai.
