Presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians not to allow the Mahama led National Democratic Congress (NDC), to deceive them in retaining in power.

The presidential hopeful who is making a third attempt at the presidency said, he somethings finds it extremely outrageous when President Mahama goes round asking Ghanaians to re-elect him into office.

Addressing a mammoth rally in Dome Kwabenya to officially launch the campaign of incumbent NPP MP, Hon. lawyer Adjoa Sarfo, the former attorney general asked, ''why do we have to retain President Mahama; do we retain you to continue your thievery, corruption, incompetence, and mismanagement?

A vote for President John Dramani Mahama is an endorsement of incompetence, mismanagement, mediocrity, unbearable hardship, poverty, unemployment and continuation of killer tariffs on Ghanaians.''

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo restated that, the Mahama led administration has failed to manage the economy of Ghana prudently hence, the need for them to vote him out and vote for a Nana Addo led administration, ''because a vote for Nana Addo will pave way for the prudent management of the economy. Our economy is in crisis. We have to be able to pay our utility bills. We cannot afford another four years of this government. I will deal ruthlessly with corruption, thievery that has taken over this country. Corruption will be no more. I am not coming into power to steal from Ghanaians nor to take a bribe. I am coming into office to use my experience to transform this country.''

Nana Addo continued, ''We need a competent team to manage Ghana. Mahama has failed Ghana, he do not deserve your vote. Kick them out of office. I need your help especially young people. I need you to vote for me to go to the presidency this election year. This is my third time and i must appeal to you to vote for me this time round. My message is to formalize and industrialize our economy. Create jobs for the unemployed youth. That is my massage. I have been consistent on this message. I will not disappoint you. Trust me.''

When President Mahama ask you to maintain him in power ask him this simple question; Why do you want to be retained; What have you done for us to warrant another four years? We have another opportunity by law, to vote out President Mahama and usher in a Nana Addo led administration to deliver to Ghanaians a first class governance. I need to go to the Flagstaff House this year and that can only be possible if you vote for me,'' he stressed.
