Boadua, (E/R) July 14, GNA - Mr Alan Kyerematen, an aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP), presidential candidate for 2012, received tumultuous reception, on Tuesday, when he met polling station executives in the Akwatia and Kade constituencies.

He was widely applauded when he assured them that if given the nod on in the August 7 primaries to lead the party in the next national elections, he would ensure that they received funds, logistics and whatever it took to embark on an effective campaign.

Mr Kyerematen, who was in the constituencies as part his tour of the Eastern Region, to solicit votes, visited Boadua and Kade.

He said elections were won or lost at the polling stations and would, therefore, ensure that polling station executives were well catered for.

Mr Kyerematen assured that if he received the nod, he would create a fund to take care of station executives because they had been neglected in the past.

He said the fight to wrestle power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was not going to be easy but it should be fought and won and so the party faithful should gear themselves up for it.

"We have to fight them boot for boot and bumper to bumper," he stated, adding that, the NPP should strategize to win back power.

Mr Kyerematen said since floating voters constituted about 30 percent of the electorate, every effort should be made to woo them.
