The Deputy National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah has said that the son of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Sekou Nkrumah, who recently joined the Party, is a big asset to them. Mr. Ankrah made this remark in an interview in his office last week. According to him, Dr. Nkrumah is no ordinary person since he is the son of Ghana’s first president.

He said the name Nkrumah holds a big candle in Africa and as such it is nothing to joke about and so any party will be delighted to have such a person with them. Mr. Ankrah said Dr. Nkrumah has been around long enough to know the political situation in the country and must have conducted some investigation on the situation to know which party to be with or not.

He also made it known that Sekou Nkrumah has been very consistent and he is bringing in youthfulness, self reliance and courage that the party needs right now.

The NDC kingpin noted that Sekou Nkrumah’s action also indicates that the NDC may get more of the Nkrumahist on their side.

Concluding he added that politics is a game of positive numbers and as such if there is anybody at all joining them, then it is good news.
