The Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, has earnestly appealed to women to show immense appreciation for the government's Free SHS Policy by massively voting for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

She said the policy introduced under the Nana Akufo Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia governments in 2017 has released a financial burden on women.

The Chief of Staff noted that the policy has subsequently relieved parents and guardians from borrowing and selling clothes to further their wards' education.

To sustain the Free SHS Policy, she charged women to vote massively for the party's flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and parliamentary candidates in the December 7 polls.

Akosua Frema Osei-Opare appealed when she commissioned sheds, steel bridges, and concrete pavement at the Kumasi Race Course Market on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

These constructions were solely financed by the Chief of Staff when the market was hit with a series of fire outbreaks in 2023 and 2024.

The Mayor of Kumasi, Hon Sam Pyne, representatives from the Manhyia Palace, NPP executives, and market women across the Ashanti region attended the short commissioning ceremony.

"The NPP government has lessened the plights of women in organizing funds to further our children's education. In appreciation, let's all vote massively for the NPP to sustain the policy to ease our burdens," the Chief of Staff said.

Akosua Frema Osei-Opare stated that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has shown his political prowess when it comes to social interventions to develop the country.

"It is crucial to vote and maintain the NPP led by Dr. Bawumia, who can transform the economy through his digitalization agenda," she emphasized.

Appreciation

The queen mother of Kumasi Markets traders, Nana Afia Kyeiwaa, on behalf of the traders, expressed profound gratitude to Madam Akosua Frema Osei-Opare for the construction works at the market.

She recounted the continued support from the Chief of Staff in times of challenges faced by the market and the traders and praised her for her continued support to market women in Kumasi.

"In gratitude, we (traders) will vote massively for Dr Bawumia and the NPP parliamentarians to receive more developments in the makers to enhance smooth trading," she pledged.
