The Swedruhene, Nana Ogidigram Okokobioko Aseidu Kobina Botwe II, has said the removal of Agona West Municipal Chief Executive from office was a surprise to the chiefs of the area.

Nana Ogidigram Okokobioko Aseidu Kobina Botwe, the Acting President of Nyakrom Traditional Council Area and President of Swedruman Council of Chiefs, said the chiefs were not happy that within three and half years Agona West had had two MCEs removed from office.

He said the constant removal of MCEs could affect the development of the Municipality and added that the Swedruman Council of Chiefs would meet on Thursday and decide the next line of action that could be taken about the removal of MCE.

Meanwhile, the Agona West Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed appreciation to the President for nominating Mr Samuel Oppong as the new Municipal Chief Executive.

This was contained in a statement issued at Agona Swedru and signed by Mr Eric Apoh, Agona West Youth Organizer of NDC with a copy made available to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Agona Swedru.

The statement said the youth wing of the party has confidence and trust that Mr Oppong could deliver due to his quality leadership exhibited in the constituency over the past years.**
