The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Takoradi constituency has opened an ultra-modern party office.
The office block, funded by party members, would also be used as a training center for upcoming politicians within the party.
The Western Regional Minister, Mr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, who inaugurated the Office block, said it had become necessary for the party to build its party office after renting an office space for the last 10 years.
Mr Darko-Mensah, who shared his political journey with the party members mentioned, Mr. Peter Mac Manu former National Chairman of the Party as his mentor, who introduced him to politics and had ever since been supportive in his political career.
To honour Mr Manu for his contributions towards the growth and development of the party, the main hall of the office Block was named after him.
Mr Darko-Mensah promised to put up a benefiting regional head office structure after 2020, adding that, the market circle in Takoradi would be modernized while the Kwame Nkrumah round-about would be constructed into an interchange and the Adakope community bridge and roads worked on.
The National Chairman of the Party, Mr Freddy Blay thanked members for their support and solidarity towards the party.
He also lauded members for their zealousness in the party's activities and stressed that they even defied the heavy rains to make it to the inauguration.
The national chairman urged the members to be vigilant and also protect the party’s property.
Mr Peter Arthur, the constituency chairman, later swore in the New Patrons and Elders of the party in the region.
