Tema NDC committee and TUCVAG congratulate Mills

Tema, Jan 14, GNA - The Tema District Coordinating Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has congratulated Professor John Evans Atta Mills on his assumption to the highest office of the nation. In a congratulatory message signed by its Coordinator Mr Ellis Aferi, the committee prayed for God's guidance, direction, wisdom and energy to enable him and his team of officers to succeed in their task. The message expressed the hope that the NDC administration would meet the expectation of Ghanaians especially with regards to the promises made to the nation and the overall pledge contained in the party's manifesto.

In a congratulatory message signed by its Coordinator Mr Ellis Aferi, the committee prayed for God's guidance, direction, wisdom and energy to enable him and his team of officers to succeed in their task. The message expressed the hope that the NDC administration would meet the expectation of Ghanaians especially with regards to the promises made to the nation and the overall pledge contained in the party's manifesto. The committee also expressed the wish that challenges confronting the vulnerable, disadvantaged and the marginalized in the society would be addressed, while creating avenues for jobs for the youth. In another development, the TUC Veterans' Association (Ghana) in a message signed by Mr G.A. Balogun and Mr John Alex Hamah, National Chairman and Secretary respectively, congratulating the new government assured the leadership of its unflinching support to ensure industrial peace and harmony which is prerequisite to rapid economic development. The association prayed that Ghana continue to enjoy national unity, peace and prosperity in a liberal democracy. "May Almighty God bestow on Your Excellency abundant good health and added wisdom to pilot safely the ship of the state," the message stated. 14 Jan 09
