Lawyer James Enu, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Tema West Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, and party officials have launched a unique campaign effort to reach out to constituents with their campaign message just a few days before the 2024 general election.

On November 9, 2024, the candidate collaborated with Sharaf Mahama, the son of John Dramani Mahama, to provide free vehicle washing services to automobile owners and drivers at C5 Car Washing Bay near P.V. Obeng Roundabout in Tema Community 5.

Speaking about their campaign plan, Lawyer James Enu mentioned that political parties have many means of conveying their intended messages to members of society. Offering a free vehicle washing service to drivers has ensured that the party in the constituency communicates with Tema West Constituency voters.

"Together with the constituency campaign team, we have embarked on a house-to-house campaign, meeting the voters at their work sites and engaging other electorates at retail shops. Based on the prevailing circumstances in our society, some electorates can only be engaged at their workplaces or retail shops to inform them about the party's messages," he explained.

Maxwell Kofi Aidoo, an NDC executive in the constituency, stated that the parliamentary candidate's utmost priority is alleviating youth unemployment in Ghana's industrial hub, Tema West Constituency. According to him, several companies are sited in Ghana's harbour city, Tema, yet unemployment remains an increasing problem in the area, with youths being the primary sufferers of the crisis. "Lawyer James Enu will ensure that the companies in the heart of Tema, as a measure to curb unemployment, will employ the youth in the area," he assured.

Maxwell Kofi Aidoo characterised John Dramani Mahama, the NDC's presidential candidate, as having the administrative expertise to revitalize Ghana's economy, which is struggling under the present administration of the New Patriotic Party. As a result, he has urged Ghanaians, especially Tema West electorates, to vote for both John Dramani Mahama and Lawyer James Enu to bring about change in Ghanaian life.
