Stephen Atubiga, a staunch member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) says there is no truth in politics adding that, in politics all you need to do is to say what one perceives is the truth but not the real facts.

“In governance and politics, anyone who tells you there is an iota of truth, let him know I say it is false. There is no absolute truth in governance or politics. It all depends on what you think is the reality”. He stressed.

He continued that when a politician tells you he can make the impossibility possible, definitely people are going to believe him and vote the person into power and that is the power of politics.

“In the nut shell, I think there neither is nothing like truth nor lies in politics; it’s all about what you believe”. He said.

Stephen Atubiga, who is also a member of the NDC’s communication team has made known his intension to vie for the 2020 flagbearership of the party hoping to become president of the republic of Ghana.

But Mr Atubiga said corruption has existed for a long period and that, there is little one can do to stop it.

“You may not have control over how corrupt they may be but you have to minimize it”.

However, he affirmed that, if he should become president and leader of the party, he would do everything to bring all together especially the founding members.

Responding to questions as to whether he can work with leaders like the former president, Jerry John Rawlings, he said “The first thing I have wished to do is by living an exemplary life. I have been trained to respect everybody, respect for leaders, and the founders of the party and accept constructive criticism from all people”. Hence am ready to work with all people”
