Three to contest Tema East NDC Parliamentary Primaries

Tema, Sept. 26, GNA - At the close of nominations last Friday, three aspirants had submitted their forms to contest the forthcoming parliamentar= y primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Tema East. Mr Mustapha Darko, Constituency Chairman who made this known to the Ghana News Agency on Monday, named the candidates as Mr Robert Kempes Papa Nii Ofosuware, Metropolitan Chief Executive; Nii Bediako Kraku, NDC Organiser in the United States; and Mr Eben Anuwah Tawiah, the party's candidate in 2000. He said whoever emerged as the winner should be supported by the two losing candidates and all the constituents, so that with a united front, ND= C could capture the seat from the New Patriotic Party in 2012. The Constituency Chairman said as soon as the candidates have been vetted, a date would be fixed for the primaries. A directive from the Party Headquarters, said primaries in all constituencies without sitting Members of Parliament (orphan constituencies= ) should be completed by the end of October.
