Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong has told Ghanaians at the Suame Magazine to choose the New Patriotic Party.

The maverick politician did not lose sight of the economic challenges the Ghanaian businessman is facing but believes that the National Democratic Congress cannot be an option.

“The Vice President is our flagbearer for the 2024 December 7 elections. I will plead with you that you work hard and support the Vice President to become president. If he becomes president, you will get jobs.

"...I am aware that duties are now expensive because I am also paying some. However, the Vice President has also whispered to me that he is aware of the duties at the port and will do something great about it to help reduce it for importers."

He continued "If you want a party that will help in the development of Ghana you cannot compare NDC to NPP. So I will plead with you to vote for the NPP. Your MP told you that you have a decision to make and the decision is voting for Dr Bawumia so that the NPP can still be in power. I acknowledge that times are hard in this country but there is one thing the NPP has done and that is the Free SHS policy Nana Akufo-Addo brought. You see the number of people who have been able to make it to the University you’ll marvel.

"Times are hard and I know that because I also pay duty but when you are going to vote, think about your child in school and those about to go to school. You should ask yourself the future your children have if NDC is in power and advise yourself,” he told a charged crowd.
