Accra, April 15, GNA - The Ward Executives of the Wa Central Constituency Branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have declared their support for President John Evans Atta Mills in his bid win party's ticket for Election 2011. A statement signed by Mr Khalid Abdul-Rahman, Secretary, said they took the decision in view of the 93sterling performance of the current NDC government".

"We, the entire constituency executives, comprising the branch and ward executives of the Wa Central Constituency of the NDC, wish to declare our unflinching support for the candidature of the President, Prof. J.E.A Mills, as the candidate for the NDC for the 2012 general elections," the statement said. 93We have come to this conclusion (following) the sterling performance of the President and the current NDC government.

"Within two years and in spite of the (problems) the current government came to meet in office, the President has demonstrated that he is really committed to deliver the 93Better Ghana" agenda that got the NDC elected into power in the 2008 elections." The statement said the current NDC government had expanded the freedoms of Ghanaians and broadened the spheres of the rule of law. "We are currently witnesses to an unprecedented infrastructural development taking place in the entire country, and the government has also significantly improved on the economy and the socio-economic circumstances of the people," they said.

"With slightly less than two years to go before the end of his current term, the President has worked enough to justify his re-election for another four-year term to continue his Better Ghana Agenda."

The statement said the executives believed in democracy and competitive politics 93but we are confident, the NDC and Ghana stand a better chance when Prof. John Evans Atta Mills is given the opportunity to serve two terms". 15 April 11
