Watch scenes from a funeral service held for the NPP at Agotime

A section of the public continues to taunt the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) over the devastating loss the party suffered in the 2024 parliamentary and presidential elections.

But some supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Agotime, in the Volta Region, appear to have taken the taunting to another level.

These NDC supporters organised a full community funeral to ‘mourn’ the defeat of the NPP.

A video of the funeral, which has gone viral, showed people wailing throughout the streets of Agotime.

The video also showed scores of people gathered at the funeral grounds where tributes and biographies of the NPP were read.

It also showed the moment a vehicle transporting the casket of the NPP was going through the streets of Agotime.

Some people could be seen weeping uncontrollably in front of the vehicle, although teasingly.
