The letter of termination of members as signed by Mr. Owusu Afriyie in part read ?that the termination of your members has become necessary following your activities and behaviour prior to the December general election?. Mr. Owusu Afriyie acted under article 4 subsection 4C of the NPP Constitution which states that the membership of a person could be terminated for indiscipline and disloyalty.
However the supposed dismissed members have rejected the decision of the constituency executives and insisted that they are still members of the NPP in the Okai Koi North. Patrick Asante, the spokesperson of the dismissed members of the party in the Okai Koi North said the constituency chairman has no power to sack them. He said the said 20 dismissed members will continue to play the role they have been playing
