The elders, opinion leaders and constituents of the Tamale Central constituency of the Northern Region have promised to take the NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Dr Anyars Ibrahim Imoro to Parliament for his care and love for them.
The elders made this disclosure in Tamale at the weekends after over 4000 constituents were offered free medical screening and treatment at the instance of Dr Anyars in all 18 Electoral Areas of the Constituency.
The weekend screening and treatment was the second time in a year that residents of the Tamale Central constituency and its environs enjoyed this free medical care at the instance of the PC.
Prior to the main event on Saturday; Religious leaders, Chiefs and other Elders in Tamale were given specialized screening and treatment at their doorsteps. A gesture the beneficiaries described as unprecedented in the area.
Speaking in an interview with The Voiceless Media during the exercise, Dr Anyars explained that he decided to initiate this exercise in collaboration with the Repairer Foundation when he realised during his door to door campaign prior to the 2016 elections that some of the constituents needed basic health care but were reluctant to go to health centres.
"It is my understanding of this situation that motivated me to work towards getting health care to the doorsteps of the people". Dr Anyars said to The Voiceless Media.
Dr Anyars Ibrahim Imoro known as Dr Barihama is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Nation Builders Corps. He was the NPP Parliamentary Candidate in the Tamale Central constituency in the election 2016.
He prosecuted an exciting campaign in the constituency in 2016 and had an impressive increase in votes in the constituency for the NPP.
With his knowledge, experience, accessibility and humility in the constituency and with the latest support he is getting from the key stakeholders of the constituency, he is seen as the next MP for the Tamale Central Constituency in 2021.
