McDaniels Kwasi Nyame, the Western North Regional Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has praised the Second Lady, Hajia Samira Bawumia, for revitalizing the party during her six-day campaign tour of the region.
He noted that the Second Lady’s visit had truly revived and united party faithful, including both past and current executives, to form a solid team to highlight the party's achievements and make it formidable and attractive for retaining power in 2024.
Nyame emphasized that this unity would enhance the NPP's appeal to the electorate, especially floating voters, and help secure victory in the 2024 elections.
Throughout her visit to all nine constituencies, Hajia Samira Bawumia was warmly welcomed by enthusiastic supporters.
Speaking at separate durbars organized in her honor at Sefwi Wiawso, Juaboso, Bodi, Akontombra, Aowin, Bia West, Bia East, and Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituencies, the Second Lady stated that the December 7 general election was crucial for the future and progress of the country and emphasized the need for a candidate with a positive track record to be elected president.
She argued that the NPP flagbearer, who happens to be her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has proven to be a candidate capable of bringing further development to the country and urged the electorate to vote massively for him in the upcoming general election.
“The NPP elected my husband to lead the party because he has what it takes to bring more development and continue the good policies of the Nana Akufo-Addo government,” she said.
She highlighted several of the NPP's achievements and interventions, such as the introduction of the Free Senior High School Policy, One-District, One-Factory (1D1F), One-Constituency, One-Ambulance, issuance of the Ghana Card, Agenda 111 policy, and the restoration of nurses' and teacher trainees' allowances.
Additional achievements include the creation of new regions and the DRIP project, which the President recently launched to improve road infrastructure development in the country.
The Second Lady further urged the people of the Western North Region to vote for all NPP parliamentary candidates within the nine constituencies to ensure further development in the region.
At the various palaces, the chiefs expressed their appreciation to the NPP government for executing multiple projects in the constituencies and for rolling out the Free SHS policy. However, they requested the construction of major roads and the creation of additional districts within the region.
