James Kwabena Bomfeh has offered advice to the Electoral Commission regarding the conduct of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has alleged that the Electoral Commission is colluding with the governing New Patriotic Party to rig this year's general elections.

They expressed concerns over the Commission's limited registration exercise, which ended in May, and now accuse it of attempting to sabotage them in their ongoing vote transfer exercise.

Following incidents of violence at some centers during the vote transfer, which resulted in the stabbing of the son of the Minister of Fisheries, Mavis Hawa Koomson, the EC prohibited all party agents from observing the exercise.

However, the Commission, after broader stakeholder consultations, lifted the ban on Tuesday, June 4, allowing the agents to observe the proceedings.

Reacting to the behavior of the NDC and their stance on EC activities, James Kwabena, also known as Kabila, questioned why the EC would tolerate the NDC's apparent antics.

He compared the NDC to the "devil," asserting that they do not seek the best interest of the electoral management body. Instead, they returned after their break from IPAC only to cause trouble.

Kabila further questioned how the EC could overlook what he perceives as an ulterior motive by the NDC to discredit the Commission and create a recipe for disaster in the December 7 polls.

"When playing with the devil, give it a long hand," he remarked on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" panel discussion program.
