Alhaji Hanan Abdul-Wahab
Alhaji Hanan Abdul-Wahab, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO) is in a pole position to win the Pusiga seat for the New Patriotic Party(NPP), according to an assessment by pollster.
Ali Imoro attributes his bright chances against the National Democratic Congress(NDC) voter apathy in the constituency coupled with the NPP candidate being a young person who appeals to the youth.
Speaking on Bolgatanga-based Dreamz FM, Mr. Imoro said: “The NPP knows that they can win Pusiga not because of good work. But given the fact that they gave a very young candidate, they have a vibrant candidate. And then there’s voter apathy. Hajia has been there for quite some time now, there is fatigue and there may be something different coming”.
According to him, residents in the area are fed up with the incumbent Laadi Ayii Ayamba who has been a member of the 6th, 7th and 8th Parliament.
Meanwhile, residents of Pusiga have continually lauded Alhaji Hanan Abdul-Wahab for the developmental projects he initiated in the area.
The residents in a recent interview, indicated that the area has seen a positive face of development through the efforts of Alhaji Abdul Hanan Abdul Wahab Aludiba.
They stated that some of the projects initiated so far include an AstroTurf pitch, borehole projects, accommodation for health staff, a road network, and many others.
The Pusiga District was carved out of the Bawku Municipality in 2012.
The district is located at the border of Ghana and two other countries (Burkina Faso and Togo).
This has made the town one of the most vibrant districts for business transactions.
