Why Muslims Must Vote For The Mills-Mahama

Fri, 4 Nov 2011 Source: Ahmed Musah

WHY MUSLIMS MUST VOTE FOR THE

MILLS-MAHAMA ADMINISTRATION COME 2012 GENERAL ELECTIONS.

There have been numerous concerns as to whether the 2012

general elections would be issue-based or personality-based.

We members of theIslamic Call for Development (ICD), are of the view that the latter

of the

issues would be less concentrated upon as the former (i.e.: the issue-based)

would be the case if voters would want the best for Ghana, and thus urge voters

to be circumspect in examining the various aspirants before voting them into

office.

A cursory study by our outfit on the issue of the Hajj

(Pilgrimage to Mecca) by we Muslims in Ghana, over the years indicates that

since when the NDC-Atta Mills led administration assumed power in the year

2009, Hajj in Ghana has been seeing tremendous improvement and remarkable

facelifts as a result of the passionate concentration and interventions put in

place the Mills-Mahama administration.

Their contributions are highly commended, and may almighty

Allah bless their efforts in making Ghana better.

Undoubtedly, we can state without any sort of trepidation

that Ghana is indeed getting better than it used to be, following the

intervention of the government since its assumption of office in the year 2009,

an effort that has made Hajj in Ghana better than it used to be, some years

before 2009.

Different people have different ways of interrogating the

Better Ghana Agenda; some do that base on the infrastructural development that

had come their way(for example: clinics, school buildings, good drinking water

etc. etc) whiles workers consider their salaries and conditions of services.

In Islamic way of politicking, we consider the kind of conditions,

benefits and opportunities that inure to the benefit of the religion (Islam)

and the community within which we live, but not our personal gains.

We are therefore calling on this year’s pilgrims (Alhajs and

Alhajias) not to forget of Ghana and the Mills-Mahama administration in their

prayers at the Sacred house (KA’ABAH). They should also pray for an everlasting

peace in Ghana, as we are just about getting into the 2012 general

electioneering era.

The Islamic Call for Development (ICD) is with highest sense

of passion, calling on each and every Ghanaian Muslim voter, to vote the

Mills-Mahama ticket come 2012 general election, following their interventions

in recording a better and successful Hajj.

Finally, we are glad with the President's stand on the

immoral, infidel and un-Godly threat by the British Prime Minister, David

Cameron in relation to homosexuality and the development of Ghana.

We support him in that pursuit, stand by him and wish him well as well as the good

people of Ghana, for Allah is

enough for Ghana and not an individual or state.

God bless Ghana.

God bless the Hajj Committee of

Ghana.
