Why Should Some NDC People Believe In NPP Vile Propaganda?

Wed, 17 Aug 2011 Source: The Informer

About three years ago, it was not the in-thing for true NDC loyalists to believe a drop of ink that fell on pro-NPP papers.

In those days, as a group focused on the bigger agenda, all true-blooded members of the NDC bonded strongly and stayed united in fighting all the rubbish that was churned out by the pro-NPP papers.

In those days, the common enemy were, The Daily Guide, The Searchlight; The Crusading Guide; The now-dead Statesman; the dead and buried Gye Nyame Concord; The Punch; Osbert Lartey’s Vanguard; and all the papers that were feeding from the belly of the elephant.

In as much as they outnumbered the pro-NDC papers, the NDC had a united and closed knit army that used higher brains and superior war tactics, to deal with the NPP’s numbers.

How many times did The Daily Guide and its stable mates not publish outright falsehood about Candidate Atta Mills?

Not a single day passed by without the pro-NPP papers fabricating stories about Candidate Atta Mills and the NDC.

At the height of their false stories, Candidate Atta Mills died and got buried several times because he was too sick to be President of Ghana.

With gust and raw strength, the NDC’s army took apart the evil propaganda of the NPP and its media hirelings and succeeded in getting the majority of Ghanaians to vote for Candidate Atta Mills to become President of the Republic of Ghana.

And The Informer is indeed proud to have been an integral part of the NDC’s war machinery that fought a good fight to swear-in President Atta Mills for him to be working so hard to build a Better Ghana.

These days, all the pro-NPP papers have to do; is publish outright lies about NDC functionaries, and some NDC persons swallow such falsehood hook, line, and sinker.

What is amazing is that, when the same people get hit by the false publications of the pro-NPP newspapers, they run all over the place trying to expose the falsehood.

Very interesting huh?

When the false publications hit them, they are quick to get people to disbelieve the falsehood.

Yet, when the false publications are about other NDC persons, the people who are quick to defend themselves,; tend to be the quickest to believe the falsehood about their colleagues.

They do not only believe the falsehood, but are quick to propagate it.

How sad!

Did we fight so hard to win power so we can be quick to destroy each other based on the lies of the NPP media?

Why are people so much in a hurry to destroy their colleagues?

Where has the spirit of togetherness run away to?

What is it that motivates people to be quick to make people believe the falsehood that is peddled on a daily basis by the pro-NPP papers?

Incidentally, it is the people who are in the forefront of defending His Excellency The President and the Government, are the ones who have become the targets for the in-house destructive forces.

If we succeed in destroying the people who are defending the hardworking President and his Administration, who will defend the President and the Government?

If we end up giving more ammunitions to our enemies going into the 2012 election; how do we intend to win the war?

If we end up killing all our frontline soldiers; how do we intend to win the war next year?

If we kill the energy and morale of the people who have dedicated themselves to fighting the war; how do we intend to win the war?

Those people who are quick to destroy the people who are defending the President and the Government; can they touch their hearts and say that they really love the President when it is the case that they are quick to destroy the people who are working tireless in defence of the President and the Government?

What really hurts, is the fact that when the falsehood is exposed; just because of their agenda; the people refuse to accept it when it has been proven beyond reasonable doubt that the stories are false.

Some of the soldiers may not be deterred by the attempt to destroy them; but some may give up somewhere along the line.

Some may voice their frustrations and some may not!

But in all this, let us remember that if we continue this way and the NPP succeeds in weakening the defences of the NDC, it is the NDC that will suffer.

Unfortunately, some of the people who are quick to destroy and kill the moral of the soldiers; will never take up arms when the need arises for all to put their shoulders to the wheel and move into the frontline and do battle.

For the sake of the success of His Excellency President Atta Mills and his Better Ghana Agenda, let us not be quick to destroy from within.

Rather, let us be quick to defend our ranks against the enemies and make sure that we at all times direct our fire power at the NPP and everything associated with the NPP.

Every true Akatamansonian knows that “UNITED WE STAND; DIVIDED WE FALL!!!”.
