The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has reiterated his faith in the sovereign power of God, as he seeks to lead the country as President.

Dr. Bawumia visited the Hebron Prayer Camp at Medie, in the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency Tuesday morning, where thousands of worshipers have been praying for days.

Addressing the worshipers during the visit, Dr. Bawunia expressed gratitude to them for praying for the country, while affirming his faith in prayers and the will of God.

"I have been told that over the past days, you have been praying and fasting for the country and I want to thank you. May God listen to your prayers and may He also bless you," Dr. Bawumia told the mammoth worshipers.

"On December 7 we will be voting to elect a new leader for our country as well as new Members of Parliament. I believe that it is only God who installs leaders so whatever we do, without God it is in vain," Dr. Bawumia said.

"As the Bible says, if the Lord does not build the house, we labour in vain. Men cannot do it but with God, all things are possible," he added.

"Again, as it is said in the Bible, His ways are not our ways. God works in so many ways that we cannot understand. If you look at how in the Bible God used Cyrus to help the Israelites, God can also use Dr. Bawumia to help our country Ghana. So we need your prayers and I believe all of us need prayers."

The church gave Dr. Bawumia a rousing reception, and he expressed immense gratitude to the leadership of the church and the congregation for their warm welcome and prayers.

The leadership of the church also expressed gratitude to Dr. Bawumia for his 'special' visit.
