Prampram, May 9, GNA - Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, wife of the New Patriotic Party Flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo on Friday called on party executives at the constituency level to galvanize all youth who have attained the voting age to register to enable them to vote for the party in the 2008 general elections.
She said this was the only way the party could win and retain power and ensure continuity of the good policies and development agenda of the Kufuor-led administration.
Mrs. Akufo-Addo said this on the second day of her eight-day working tour to introduce herself and her team including wives of former flagbearer aspirants of the party to constituency executives within the Ga Dangbme area.
The team first visited Ningo Prampram, Sege and ended at Ada in the Dangbme East and interacted with party members and women's' wing after a closed-door meeting with constituency executives.
The crowd welcomed the team with party songs and chanted catchphrases such as 'Na nana, na shiuwo', "Oson nie, nana nie" to show solidarity to the party.
The meeting would afford them the chance to churn out new campaign messages, both at the local and national levels and ways to bring every party and floating voters on board to claim victory.
Mrs Akufo-Addo said the team was ready to assist with resources at the local level and engage the services of sign interpreters to ensure that campaign messages were understood by all.
Mr Sam Crabbe, Greater Accra Regional Chairman alluded to the numerous developmental projects undertaken under the Kufuor government and urged the people to massively vote for the party to ensure continuity.
Mr Divine Otoo Agorhom, NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Sege Constituency appealed to government to revive the Songhor Salt industry by putting in place good management team to give jobs to the local people.
