The Omanhene of the Bompata Traditional Area in the Asante Akyem South Constituency, Nana Efa Apenteng, has lauded the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for bringing unprecedented developments to his area, particularly in terms of road construction and the provision of social amenities such as schools and health facilities.

According to him, the government is not trumpeting its achievements loud enough for Ghanaians to fully appreciate. He added that in his 43 years of rule, he’s not witnessed the kind of developments undertaken by this government.

The Omanhene, therefore, called on the governing party and its communicators to do more in trumpeting these achievements not only in his area but across the country.

Nana Apenteng made these remarks at a durbar of chiefs and people of Juaso, the capital of Asante Akyem Constituency in the Ashanti Region. The durbar, which was also attended by members of the clergy, was held in honour of the running mate of the NPP, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who is on a campaign tour, on Thursday, August 15, 2024.

Dr Prempeh used the occasion to thank the chiefs and people of the constituency for their unalloyed support and loyalty to the fortunes of the NPP over the years. He pleaded with them to continue to put their trust in the NPP as it is the only party in Ghana that keeps its social contract.

He thus asked them to vote massively for his boss, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the party’s Parliamentary Candidate, Kwaku Asante-Boateng, in the December polls.

The entourage of the NPP running mate included Kennedy Agyapong (MP, Assin Central and former Presidential Aspirant); Buttey Smith (National 1st Vice Chairman); Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Ashanti Regional Chairman) and a host of others.
