Nana Yaa Jantuah, the former General Secretary of the Conventions Peoples Party (CPP), has asserted that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has scammed God and Ghanaians over the National Cathedral project.

She expressed disappointment about the present state of the project.

She said, "You cannot scam God like this, to the extent that you chopped the money of a religious leader; Chief Imam, his money is in it. All these years, you have spent $58 million - $58 million that you want to build a house for God, Jehovah himself, the Almighty one, the King of Kings, His name is Yaweh.

"And this is what you have done for him. You don't respect anybody; you don't respect God; you don't respect human beings. Which group of people don't respect human beings and don't respect God?" she quizzed.

Nana Yaa Jantuah made these statements in a video posted on X.

She said that aside from the big pit on the construction site that now looks like a swimming pool because it has accumulated water, the place is in a deplorable state, which is embarrassing.

"Apart from the pool, the place looks 'basaa.' I was just mortified I didn't even know where I was standing," she added.

According to the former CPP general secretary, $10 million can be used to build a cathedral, making her question the whereabouts of the $58 million allocated for the National Cathedral project.

"$58 million cannot build a cathedral? What did they use the money for? I am telling you that 10 million can build a cathedral," she said.

She further added, "My problem is the pastors who are supporting NPP. If you are a pastor, this should be a mark for you that the people you are following are not for God because the Bible says you should not unequally be yoked with unbelievers. If you are a believer and believe in God, you will not do what has happened. If you are serious and you do not have any bad intent, you don't just treat God anyhow. Nobody who treated God anyhow in the Bible and Quran had their reward. God will recompense.

"He says vengeance is mine; thou says the Lord... This shows the name of the Lord has been suffered in vain. Anybody who disrespects God, me, Nana Yaa AKyempem Jantuah, I will not take it, I will never take it. It is a total disrespect to Jehovah and the Christian Community in the country. I am saying that this people are scammers. You can scam us; you can scam God."
