Young conservatives of Denmark visits national youth wing of NPP

As part of our efforts to bridge the gap between our international ideological partners, the National Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party is hosting the “Konservativ Ungdom” (Young Conservatives of Denmark) in a weeklong programme scheduled from Monday 14th -21st October 2013.

This collaboration was facilitated by the National Chairman of NPP Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, the General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie and the Director for International Affairs, Charles Owiredu.

Commencing with a courtesy call on Mr. Peter Mac Manu at his residence, the Honorary Chairman of Democratic Union of Africa (DUA) and the current Vice Chairman of International Democratic Union (IDU) emphasized on the need to rededicate ourselves to the centre right ideals in our quest to liberating our people from suppression and promote democratic governance. The former National Chairman of NPP also applauded the current Youth Leadership led by Emmanuel Attafuah Danso and stated the need to cross fertilize ideas with our sister partners across the world. He thanked the Young Conservatives of Denmark for their immeasurable support over the years and expressed hope that the relationship will continue to blossom to help spread the ideals of Conservatism. The delegation was led by the National Youth Organizer, Emmanuel Attafuah-Danso, his Deputy, Miss Helen Adjornyo, Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer, Nana Fodjour, Special Aid to the General Secretary, Frank Asiedu-Bekoe, and the Press Secretary to the Youth Wing, Jeffrey Amoako Agyeman.

In a special briefing at the National Youth Wing Office, Emmanuel Attafuah Danso highlighted the contribution of the Youth to the Party over the years and hinted of efforts being made to establish a functional Youth Secretariat. He was of the view that, a functional Youth Secretariat would be the coordinating centre of Youth activities and interest. The Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer also briefed the guests on the activities of the Youth of the Party in the Region. In attendance were some Youth and Tescon Officers. Other scheduled programmes include Visit to Dome- Kwabenya and Okaikoi North Constituencies, UPS Tescon branch, Meeting with Minority Leadership in Parliament, Press Briefing, visit to Agbogbloshie Market etc. Signed:
