NDC elects candidate for Kwadaso Constituency

Kumasi, Dec. 15, GNA- Joseph Yammin, a 30-year-old Computer Technician and Contractor in Kumasi, was on Saturday elected the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Kwadaso constituency for the 2008 Election. The delegates elected the candidate by popular acclamation at the election, which was supervised by the Electoral Commission (NEC). Alhaji Baba Jamal, Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, thanked the delegates for their cooperation and commitment to the party's development.

He asked them to be vigilant and bold in championing the party's cause to enable NDC regain power in the 2008 Election. Mr Jamal said the party would use constitutional means to fight against electoral biases in the 2008 Election adding that the NDC was determined to win the elections to enable the party address the socio-economic challenges of the nation.

Mr Yammin commended the delegates for electing him and promised to work hard to enable the party win the seat. He said he would improve upon sanitation of the area, the poor road network among other things if elected as Member of Parliament. Mrs. Diana Osei-Assibey Frimpong, official of the NEC, assured advised party executives to select knowledgeable people as their agents during elections to ensure free, fair and peaceful polls. 15 Dec. 07
