Accra, Sept. 10, GNA - The People's National Convention (PNC) will allocate majority of resources to the deprived and vulnerable in society. The General Secretary of the PNC, Mr Bernard Mornah said this on Wednesday at the party's headquarters in Accra during an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA).

"Our blueprint is that majority of the society's benefits will be focused on the poor and vulnerable and marginalised in the society," he said, stating that, the former and present governments had failed to make the poor and vulnerable have access to social benefits. Briefing GNA on the party's manifesto, Mr Mornah said the party's priority was focused on agriculture, education, health and the youth. "The PNC will re-look at education, auditing it from basic to tertiary level."

Mr Mornah also said equitable distribution would be guaranteed in the health sector when the party came to power, adding that the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) was not being implemented well as citizens could only be given treatment in their respective district hospitals. He said the media was biased as it paid more attention to some parties to the exclusion of others and stressed the need for the media to tell the public the content of every manifesto. Mr Mornah also said the party was anchored on the youth to tap their energy.
