See this is like you are all in one class then it was announced that something was lost in the classroom and the decide to check the pockets of all the students then one person comes out to say no they shouldn't check their pockets but to bring out sample of what was missing before he should be checked. How will you see that particular student? Either he might have stolen something else or the particular missing items. Those who have nothing in their pockets would have no problem with the search. So wise up and read through the behavior of the EC. Her day of accountability will surely come because there is no permanent condition.

The EC can voluntarily call for such an audit in order to prove to the citizenery that the electoral roll is not tainted. The EC must sit up and stop this kind of childish behavior. The EC must be congratulated for deciding to put up the register for all voters to verify and correct. They cannot rely on political parties to fix what they themselves do to bloat the register.

I suggest that the EC sets up a broad-based committee made up of reps of political parties, the GBA, clergy, CODEO, traditional authorities, election experts, etc to resolve this issue. The NDC must submit the evidence they have to the committee, and the EC must prove the the concerns of the NDC have truly been addressed. Insisting that the NDC must provide evidence is not helping in the resolution of the matter. The NDC cannot refuse to provide evidence to the independent committee and the EC cannot refuse to demonstrate measures already taken to clean the registrar. Public opinion will not favour the EC if things go wrong with the elections. The NDC propaganda is hurting the public image of the EC. The tug-of-war must end.

I use the word privilege because that's what you're trying to do even though that's not what our constitution said. Every eligible Ghanaian must be allowed to vote for their preferred leader not the other way round.
